American Idol Season 14 winner Nick Fradiani is forging ahead with the release of the video for his new song, "Love is Blind." Despite recently parting ways with Big Machine Records, Fradiani debuted the clip -- which features the Connecticut native surprising a newlywed couple at a wedding with an acoustic version of the romantic love song -- at their reception. It's a sweet moment, as Fradiani sings "I know love can be a scary thing/but you are more than worth it" -- as couples come together to dance with the bride and groom on the dance floor. “When I first sat down and wrote 'Love Is Blind' with two other great writers,” Fradiani wrote on his Facebook page. “I said ‘let’s write a love song that people will play at weddings.’ Over a year after I wrote the song, I was able to surprise a couple and play it for their first dance as husband & wife.” Rumors recently surfaced that a potential new Mariah Carey single could make its way to the public within weeks, in an attempt to deflect from her disastrous (though already legendary!) New Year’s Eve performance. And while an actual musical clip or official confirmation has yet to surface thus far, a new report from TMZ indicates new music from Mariah is well on its way. Carey reportedly already recorded a song with rapper YG and shot a music video to support the track — all in the span of 24 hours. The site goes on to say the “Heartbreaker” singer wrote the song with her breakup from ex-fiance James Packer in mind and hopes the track “will be an anthem for women overcoming harsh breakups.” The alleged new song — the title of which has yet to be released — will reportedly air during the Mariah’s World season finale on Sunday, January 29. Showbiz 411’s Roger Friedman initially reported that LA Reid had plans to drop a new Mariah single in the weeks following her New Year’s Eve performance to gain back public favor. “I hear that LA Reid and Epic Records want to release a new single by Mariah in three weeks,” Friedman reported. “They’ve got it, and feel that she needs something on the radio to remind people Carey can really sing – not just lip sync.” WorldStarHipHop founder Lee O'Denat -- better known as "Q" had been trying to loose weight before his death. I'm going to as many countries as possible for my #Rexhars. The Brooklyn native kicks off her North American shows on March 1 in Dallas, Texas and will wrap up at the end of the month in Washington, D.C. Although it is Rexha’s first time headlining her own tour, the 27-year-old has previously opened for big names such as Nick Jonas and Elle Goulding, as well as co-headlined Warped Tour. Earlier this month, Rexha told Daily Star that her upcoming album is “extremely personal.” “I did not hold back, I talk about everything from ex-boyfriends to friends, and growing up in LA,” she spilled. I’m very insecure and I tend to hold things close to my heart, the album is purely about me and my experiences so that’s a huge thing. I do believe in myself, it’s just that everyone will judge me on this and that’s hard, I’ve not played it to many people, I tend not to want to show it off before it’s out.” “I Got You,” the second single off All Your Fault is Rexha’s first Hot 100 as a lead artist; however, she has penned and been featured on chart-topping hits including David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” and G-Easy’s “Me, Myself & I.” SZA is finally about to deliver her highly-anticipated debut album to fans.
During an interview with Billboard, SZA finally confirmed the release date for her upcoming studio project, CTRL, revealing that it is set to drop on February 3. That means that in just one week, fans will have new SZA tunes coming straight to their ears. While speaking to the music outlet, the vocalist also revealed her writing process for her latest single, “Drew Barrymore.” “I [wrote about] my younger life, which was haphazard: being at sleepaway camp away from my parents, being the only black girl, not even noticing until I got older, dealing with boys, self-hate, growth, and God,” she said. “It’s the first time I’m literally writing about my life instead of figuratively writing about it.” SZA also says that a lot of her inspiration for the project came from candid conversations with Rick Rubin. “I had this mentality that ‘more is more,’ more reverb, more background [vocals]. I played him a bunch of songs, and he would tell me, The more you take away from any piece, the more room you create for everything else to be beautiful and grow.’ I never felt that before, the editing urge,” she says. “Once you strip everything down, you’re forced to say something.” CTRL is available on Feb. 3. 2016 Best Actress Academy Award winner Brie Larson, 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner Jennifer Hudson, previous Oscar nominees Ken Watanabe, Jason Reitman and Emmanuel Lubezki, and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the nominees for the 89th Academy Awards, airing live on February 26, 2017 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Despite the controversy surrounding Tidal’s alleged fraudulent subscription base, the streaming company announced that Sprint is buying 33 percent of Tidal.
According to Market Watch, the deal would cost Sprint $200 million and make them competitive in the wireless field. For consumers, this partnership will bring exclusive content to 45 million post and prepaid customers of Sprint. In addition, Sprint Chief Executive Marcelo Claure will join Tidal’s board. This news comes after reports surfaced of Tidal possibly inflating their subscriber numbers within the past year. A Norwegian newspaper was able to obtain internal reports from the streaming service, which shows that Tidal only had 350,000 subscribers when Jay Z announced in September 2015 that the streaming company reached 1 million users. Last March, when Tidal announced it reached 3 million subscribers it actually had only 1.2 million activated accounts and 850,00 subscribers. Is X Factor Getting the Ax?
