The rapper then spent the next few hours replying to and retweeting fans who responded to his post. BTS are no strangers to Guinness World Records and have claimed a range of other titles, including the most-viewed music video in a 24-hour period for Boy With Luvwhich debuted with 74.6 million views on April 12-13. The BTS fan club, known as Army, are also the most active on social media. BTS hold the world record for the most Twitter engagements, with every post receiving an average of more than 422,000 retweets. After sold-out North American, South American and European stops on their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” live concert tour, BTS returned home for concerts and fan events in Busan and Seoul in June. To welcome the K-pop heroes home, Seoul illuminated a number of landmarks in purple, the band’s signature colour. BTS will get back on the road for concerts in Japan in July and will release a documentary film from their latest tour, Bring the Soul: The Movie, on August 6. Their previous film, Burn the Stage: The Movie, was another record-breaker, this time for biggest “event cinema” release. Released in 79 countries and territories for only a handful of days, the film pulled in 1.4 million viewers, beating out the previous record held by boy band One Direction.
Following several teasers and singles, Chris Brown has released his ninth studio album, Indigo.
Brown teasing the effort back in late 2017, after the release of his 45-track album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Since then, Brown has dropped a number of tracks off the star-studded album, such as “Don’t Check on Me” featuring Justin Bieber and INK, “Wobble Up” with Nicki Minaj and G-Eazy, and “No Guidance”featuring Drake. Indigo is a double-disc album that spans 32 tracks, including three bonus cuts. Other guests artists are Lil Wayne, Gunna, Tory Lanez, Trey Songz, and Tyga. Indigo is now available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify. In support of the album, Brown will embark on the IndiGOAT U.S. tour with Ty Dolla Sign, Joyner Lucas, and Lanez. The trek kicks off Aug. 20 in Portland, and will include stops in New Orleans, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Houston, before concluding Oct. 19 in Anaheim. Check out the full tour schedule below. BTS is one of the biggest acts in the world right now, and they’ve just launched a new mobile game appropriately named BTS World on iPhone and Android in many regions, including here in the US.
The premise of the game has you traveling back in time to 2012 and acting as a manager at Big Hit, BTS’s agency, and tasked with getting the boys together and helping to make them famous at the beginning of their career. The game is unique because unlike many other celebrity-based titles, this almost exclusively uses real photos and videos of BTS rather than animated stand-ins, meaning fans will be staring at an actual member of BTS for probably 98% of the time they’re playing, much to their delight. The boys will appear on screen and pose in different ways as you converse with them, kind of like a dating sim (though I don’t believe you can actually date any of them, that would just be too unprofessional as their manager!). The game has arrived on the Apple iOS store with nearly perfect reviews and I’ve seen a lot of fans raving about it online, so it seems to be exactly what they wanted from a big BTS mobile title. Interestingly, the company that makes the game, Netmarble, South Korea’s largest mobile publisher, also owns 25% of Big Hit Entertainment, the BTS agency you’re working for in this game. Synergy! After releasing a brand-new mobile game, BTS announced they are releasing a new movie. On June 26, the K-pop act revealed their latest project, Bring the Soul: The Movie, on their official Twitter account.
Bring the Soul: The Movie will be BTS’s third feature film — following 2018’s Burn the Stage: The Movie and 2019’s Love Yourself in Seoul — and it’s set to release later this summer. Alongside the news, the group also unveiled the official poster for the movie. The band’s previous theatrical releases were received with more than ample support. Burn the Stage grossed over $18.5 million during its limited run and, shortly after, Love Yourself in Seoul went on to become the largest event cinema release to date worldwide, surpassing One Direction’s former record. Per the film’s official website, Bring the Soul, like the two previous films, will follow the septet’s 2018 Love Yourself tour, but more specifically, the European leg of the tour, covering the seven concerts the band held across four cities, including London, Berlin, and Amsterdam. In addition to the concert aspect, Bring the Soul is also reported to include never-before-seen stories from the Bangtan Boys on tour, and a recap from the members after their last 2018 European tour stop, in Paris. On the day following the final concert of their Europe tour, on a rooftop in Paris, BTS tells their very own stories," the official synopsis reads, "from experiencing new cities to performing in front of thousands of ARMY across the globe. A glimpse into BTS’ world away from the stage, featuring intimate group discussions alongside spectacular concert performances from the tour. Shining brighter than any light on the stage, now the group invites us behind the spotlight.” Bring the Soul, produced by Big Hit Entertainment in tandem with Camp Entertainment and distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, will debut in cinemas worldwide on August 7, with limited screenings. "Trafalgar Releasing is thrilled to collaborate with Big Hit Entertainment again for Bring the Soul: The Movie, giving fans around the world an intimate opportunity to see the band following their landmark Love Yourself tour,” Trafalgar Releasing’s CEO wrote in a press release per Forbes. “The ARMYs are truly a community, and we are excited to bring them together for an all-new BTS experience in cinemas worldwide.” Tickets for Bring the Soul will go on sale on July 3. And, of course, ARMYs are already preparing for a movie marathon. Cardi B strips down to nothing in the official music video for her latest single “Press“. The NSFW video arrives just a day after Cardi B appeared in court to enter her plea on the assault charges she is facing for the strip club beatdown case. It was alleged that Cardi ordered an attack on two bartender sisters at a strip club back in August 2018. She rejected a plea deal and now she is facing a 12-count indictment. Adam Lambert just released her new song “Comin In Hot” – and the music video to go with it. “Comin In Hot” is the latest single off of his upcoming album Velvet, which doesn’t have a release date yet. Amanda Bynes has graduated from FIDM fashion school in Los Angeles.
The former Nickelodeon star shared a photo of herself Monday in a cap and gown next to a fellow graduating pal, captioning the post ... "FIDM graduate 2019 #fidmgraduation." Amanda's got her hair pretty long right now, and it's dyed blonde and pink. The 12,000-student ceremony went down Monday night at Staples Center in L.A., where Amanda walked across the stage with an Associate's degree in fashion design. Eyewitnesses tell us Amanda seemed ecstatic -- she was getting tons of love from her teachers and peers. The happy news comes months after Amanda rechecked herself into a facility in January. As we first told you ... her going back for treatment was a result of a backslide from being back in the spotlight after her Paper magazine cover story. Amanda opened up a lot in the feature, revealing that starring role in 2006's "She's the Man" sent her into a spiral of depression. She also blamed a lot of her issues on drug use. At the time of the article -- November 2018 -- Amanda said she was 4 years sober. Amanda was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and has been under a conservatorship for the past 5 years, but the problems began several years earlier. Amanda's been enrolled since 2014, and has been attending on-and-off. She took a break last year to get back into acting, but returned to complete the classes. |
