With successful collaborations with Selena Gomez and Kesha, Zedd seems to have his sights set on Alessia Cara for his next pop star team-up. On Thursday Zedd shared a photo of him and the singer-songwriter hanging out at a nightclub on Instagram, writing, “Who’s ready for ZEDD x ALESSIA CARA?!?!?!?” While it’s not a precise confirmation that the pair are working on music together, it’s unlikely that the producer is talking about anything other than a musical collaboration. No word yet as to what to expect from Zedd and Alessia or when, but if his previous pop collbs have indicated anything, we’ll probably love it. Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio teased a forthcoming collaboration with Gomez during an interview with Vanidades magazine. Due out in 2017, Rubio’s next album will reportedly include a duet with the Revival singer. “My new album is like another member of the team, or the family. It will be a true warrior, has something from all genres, from band to pop, collaborations of DJ Snake and Selena Gomez,” Rubio revealed, per Entertainment Tonight. “I tried to keep a key element: That the music is danceable,” she added. Meanwhile, Gomez’s own third studio album can’t be far behind: In December, the pop star was snapped in the studio with producer Justin Tranter. Run-DMC has sent Walmart and Amazon a $50 million lawsuit for trademark infringement of their brand name.
Run DMC filed a claim against the two big-box retailers for allegedly advertising, selling, manufacturing, promoting and distributing multiple products with their famous insignia without their permission. The group says that Walmart and Amazon are allowing third-party retailers to sell wares such as hats, T-shirts, eyeglasses, wallets and others products with their “Run-DMC” logo plastered on them. Run-DMC states in their lawsuit that their logo is highly valuable and referenced their $1.6 million deal with footwear brand Adidas. Reps for Walmart and Amazon had no comment on the matter. TMZ posted a gallery of the alleged bootleg items and some of it looks very questionable. You can check them out here. Despite its title "beibs in the trap," Travis Scott's latest single has nothing to do with pop star Justin Bieber. For the RJ Sanchez-directed clip, the Missouri City rapper instead taps Canadian artist NAV for the trippy cut, where he name-drops a slew of vices on the hook: "I just poured a 8 in a liter/Throw some jolly ranchers in make it sweeter/Versace my clothes I'm with a white ho/And she snortin' three lines like Adidas/Got a black girl rolling off molly/Got a white bitch snorting up snow." The visual also features a sleek silver Lamborghini, a multitude of models in sheer attire, white powder and a purple concoction in a deserted hangar. "beibs in the trap" appeared on Scott's sophomore studio effort Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, which soared to No. Watch Scott's "beibs in the trap" video below.
