Troy Ave Airs Releases ‘I Ain’t Mad at Cha’

Troy Ave proclaimed himself as the new Tupac. Then to ad insult to injury, he announced that his next mixtape is going to be called NuPac. Although the project is experiencing a slight delay, the Brooklyn rhymer released a new song called “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” which is clearly inspired by 2Pac’s classic 1996 tune of the same name.

On the song, Troy Ave airs out his foes who turned their backs on him after his arrest for his role in the Irving Plaza shooting in New York where his dear friend Ronald “Banga” McPhatter was killed.

“Damn, I miss my n—- / If you ever lost somebody then say R.I.P. My N—-,” raps Troy Ave on the chorus.

The rapper then addresses his legal case, rapping, “Real n—- died / Fake n—- went to jail / That ain’t no balance I need murder on that scale / I want to say more but them people on my trail / I got to be cautious while I’m prepping for this trial.”

Throughout the song, Troy Ave questions former friends’ loyalty and throws a couple of shots at rapper Casanova who has been very critical of him. In one verse, Troy Ave calls casanova “assa-nova” and a biter. “N—-, you been on my d— / Using my ad-libs, asking me to take up a flick,” he raps.

Troy Ave also throws his former manager Hovain under the bus alleging that he is a woman beater. It’s not quite “Hit ‘Em Up,” but the BSB leader is definitely burning bridges and roads on this heated track.

Meanwhile, Troy Ave went on his Instagram page to apologize for the hold up of his NuPac mixtape. “Pardon the delay y’all I only had 4 days to record this album I want it to be perfect 4 yall #NuPac will be here shortly,” he wrote.
