Metallica Announce Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike Will Join the ‘WorldWired’ Tour

Metallica  made the announcement via its website, telling fans they can expect to Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike“spinning some of your favorite (and ours!) hard rock and metal tracks throughout the evening at all of the stadium dates this summer.” Mike’s involvement comes in addition to the three support acts that have already been announced for the shows — Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, and Gojira — and adds a hip-hop element to an aggressive hard rock lineup.

Mike added his own announcement, taking to Facebook to tell fans about the gig and proclaim his long-standing admiration for the headliners. “As a longtime fan of Metallica,” he wrote, “I am truly humbled and honored for this amazing opportunity to support the greatest metal band of our generation.”

Each ticket to Metallica’s WorldWired tour comes with a physical or digital copy of the band’s recent Hardwired… to Self-Destruct LP. Look over the dates below, and visit the group’s official site for ticketing information.
