Mariah Carey Is Back in the Recording Studio

Mariah Carey could be releasing new music soon.  Carey was spotted multiple times this week in the recording studio, posing with frequent collaborator Jermaine Dupri and producer Bobby Ross Avila. 

Yesterday (July 18), Avila shared a photo with Care, writing, "Pulled an all nighter @ the studio with my bro’s @jermainedupri, @therealjohntaaustin, Mariah and the Magic was in FULL EFFECT!" 

Carey and Dupri previously worked together on "We Belong Together" and "Don't Forget About Us," two of the singer's biggest hits from 2005's The Emancipation of Mimi.

Carey also teased the coming of a new album in a March interview with V magazine, saying that “there’s a different approach that I’m taking as an artist. I think it’s like a fresh start." She continued to say that while most people see her as a diva, she sees herself as "a songwriter first, and then a singer. That’s what I love to do the most.”
