On Thursday (Sept. 14), one year to the day that then 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal was crowned winner of Season 11 of America's Got Talent, told her 1.8 million Instagram followers that a new album is coming on Nov. 3. The album, titled Just The Beginning, follows her 2016 EP Perfectly Imperfect. "A year ago today, a miracle happened and I won [America's Got Talent]," VanderWaal wrote on Instagram to accompany a photo of what is presumably her album cover. "It's been the most insane year and it's all brought me here... I can FINALLY tell you guys that my album #JustTheBeginning comes out 11/3! It goes up for pre-order with a brand new song tomorrow. I'll be hosting a special live stream party with AGT on my Facebook page tomorrow at 6pm ET and hope you'll watch and celebrate with me." Grace released new single "So Much More Than This" on Friday (Sept. 15). The song has tinges of the ukulele that brought her fame throughout her run on AGT as an unassuming preteen. Just The Beginning will be brought to you by AGT judge Simon Cowell's Syco Music and Columbia Records, whom VanderWaal signed with after winning the show.
