Following the release of his Bad Boy Records documentary, Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, Diddy just released two new songs on the 48th episode of OVO Sound Radio on Saturday (July 23). The rap mogul played “Watcha Gon’ Do,” a 90-inspired track featuring the late Notorious B.I.G. and Rick Ross along with it’s accompanying remix.
On the song, which samples EPMD’s classic track “You’re a Customer,” the rap trifecta are spitting braggadocios lyrics about their lavish lifestyle while brushing off the haters. Diddy is up first rapping, “See, lame n—-s gonna do lame s— / How you flexing when your crew ain’t s— / N—-, you ain’t s— / Probably trick on something you ain’t hit / Try to do me but the shoe ain’t fit, and your jewels ain’t lit.” Meanwhile, delivers some tough talk and a little bit of floss. “Big blunts and grass, Maybach on a dash / 40 carat gold Cartier on a class / Mink coats with shooters in of the Land Cruiser / My maneuvers sparking these lil’ rumors / Duffle bags, Percocets, the Rugers / Still the smoothest at roughing up all the jewelers,” he rhymes. Finally, Biggie’s verse is sampled from “Hustler’s Story” from his posthumous album, Duets: Final Chapter. Big Poppa raps, “N—-s talkin’ it but ain’t livin’ it / Crystal pops I’m sippin’ it, mob hats and lizard shit / ‘Gator trunks bitch, rollin’ blunts with the williest of the willy / Heckler Koch, M-1’s and nine millies.” Diddy also debuted the “Dre Day” remix of the song, which samples Dr. Dre’s Chronic anthem “Nuthin’ but a G Thang,” with ad-libs from M.I.A.
