BTS will be releasing its ninth Japanese CD single, Bird/ FAKE LOVE/ Airplane Pt.2, on Nov. 7.
The single will be BTS' first Japanese release in 11 months. "Bird" is a Japan original song, with lyrics written by Yasushi Akimoto, who is the creator, producer and lyricist of the massively successful AKB48 girl-group franchise. The A-type limited first edition will come with a DVD containing the music video for "Airplane pt.2. -Japanese ver.-," the Japanese-language version of the original Korean song from the album Love Yourself: Tear. The DVD for the B-type will contain a making-of video, and the C-type will come with a 36-page photo booklet of original visuals of the band taken specifically for this single, including individual shots of each member. A regular version and a limited fan club-only edition of the release also will be made available. The "IDOL" supergroup also announced a handshake event for each member Nov. 17 for the Tokyo area and Nov. 18 for the Osaka area. ARMY will have a chance to meet their favorite member by applying with the serial number included in the CD package. Winners will be selected randomly, with details to be released later.
