On November 12, the music video for BTS’s latest title track “DNA” reached 150 million views on YouTube, making it the fastest K-pop music video ever to do so. BTS achieved this remarkable milestone in just 54 days, breaking the record of 98 days previously held by BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last.”
“DNA,” which was released on September 18, already broke the record for the fastest K-pop video to hit 100 million views back in October. The music video also set new records for the fastest video to reach 10 million, 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million, 70 million, 80 million, and 90 million views. Additionally, “DNA” holds the current record for highest number of views in the first 24 hours of a K-pop group music video’s release. As of November 12, BTS now has seven music videos that have surpassed 150 million views: “Dope,” “Fire,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “Boy in Luv,” Save Me,” “Not Today,” and now, “DNA.”
