BIGBANG are bidding their fans farewell with one last song. The K-pop quintet released "Flower Road" on Tuesday (March 13), marking a final sendoff before they begin a lengthy hiatus while band members serve in South Korea’s military. It's their first single since 2016 tracks "Fxxk It” and “Last Dance,” but the lyrics make clear it won't be their last. "This is not the end of us / I hope we’ll meet again when the flowers are blooming,” G-Dragon sings on the guitar-driven tune. The band is expected to return to music after completion of their service, a nearly two-year term mandatory for South Korean residents due to their longstanding tension with North Korea. So far, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have all enlisted in the country's military. Youngest member Seungri is still a civilian, but took to Instagram earlier on Tuesday to explain he would be following in their footsteps soon. Rapper T.O.P, meanwhile, recently began service in public works after his military term was cut short following his involvement in a lawsuit based on his marijuana usage.
