Prophets of Rage, and Audioslave are sure to get quite a bit of attention as they will reportedly reunite for the upcoming “Prophets of Rage and Friends Anti-Inaugural Ball.” Prophets of Rage will be live streaming their show at 9PM (PST).

The event was just announced, set to take place this Friday (Jan. 20) at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. In addition to Prophets of Rage and Audioslave, those attending can look for performances from Vic Mensa, Jackson Browne, Jack Black and the Los Angeles Freedom Choir.

After Rage Against the Machine went on hiatus, the trio of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk recruited Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell to start the new band Audioslave. Together they recorded a trio of albums before disbanding in 2007. However, in 2015, Cornell sparked interest in a revival of the band, stating in an interview, “I think it would be great. We did a lot of songs and with the benefit of not having done anything with those guys for so long, I can’t imagine what it would be. It would be a really amazing experience just to get back and work with the same guys again.”

He added, “We were certainly a prolific group of people; we wrote three whole albums in around five years, maybe less. And these were albums that were raw, and we had extra material, and we just never seemed to have trouble ever trying to agree on what would come out of the songs. They were great guys, and I really enjoyed the experience that I had with them, so yeah, I would always be open to doing something.”

Tickets for “Prophets of Rage and Friends Anti-Inaugural Ball” are currently available at this location. At present, the Audioslave reunion is expected to be a one-off performance. This will be the band’s first performance in over a decade.
