One of the early-2000s most popular groups B2K will be officially reuniting next year through a tour. On Friday (Dec. 21), Billboard reported that the group will be coming back together for the first time since their breakup.
The former R&B group will be embarking on the Millennium Tour in March 2019, along with other notable acts such as Mario, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Chingy, and Pretty Ricky. Michelle La Fleur, Chief Operating Officer of Omarion's entertainment company, told the publication, "We are excited to be a part of what will undeniably be a nostalgic and electrifying performance that will awaken cherished memories and create new, indelible ones for the next generation." "While admiring their solo successes, the fans have consistently demanded a B2K reunion and, with the determination of an incredibly talented team, that dream is now a reality," La Fleur added. Omarion Worldwide will be producing the tour alongside G-Squared Events, Hall of Fame Entertainment and Blvd. Music. Damuer H. Leffridge, a rep for Blvd. Music, adds "Through collaborative efforts, B2K answered the call. The stage has been set, the journey continues, please get ready for the triumphant return of B2K." B2K first formed in 1998 and was managed by Chris Stokes, who worked closely with artists like Brandy and Marques Houston. They catapulted to public consciousness in 2002 with their eponymous debut album, headed by lead single "Uh Huh." Three albums and a dance movie later (You Got Served), the group went their separate way in 2004. The reason behind the breakup at the time, according to MTV News, was supposedly over finances and favoritism towards Omarion, who was essentially touted as the group's frontman, a claim he denies. On Dec. 31, the tour's schedule will be released. Tickets will be made available for purchase on Jan. 4th "in some markets," with the remaining tickets being available to remaining markets on Jan. 11. Revisit their first album below.
