The Weeknd is teaming up with Puma for another collection that will drop before the year is out.
Puma x XO AW’ 18 collection, is the second edition of the specific collaboration between the "Call Out My Name" singer and sneaker giant. According to Puma, "the entire collection comes to life with exaggerated fits, of-the-hour lines and structuring," made popular three decades ago. Shirts, jackets, hats, joggers in fabrics ranging from crushed velour to destroyed denim will be in the collection, which feature Puma x XO worldwide logos. The new drop also features the previously-released Puma x XO Terrains sneaker in a new pebble colorway as opposed to the all-black original. The new collection drops on Dec. 13. Weeknd and Puma's relationship seems to be going swimmingly. Abel initially partnered with Puma for a shoe and clothing line in September 2016. Since then, the crooner has put out multiple shoe collabs including the Terrain Collection, released in September, and the Crafted Renaissance collection. The first edition of the Puma x XO collection was released in October 2017. In music-related news, Weeknd recently revealed he has a new album on the way. During a show for the launch of his Toronto-based creative imprint Hxouse on Nov. 6, he told to fans, "I want you guys to be the first to know that I'm working on my new album right now. Chapter VI coming soon. Let's get it." The album would be the follow-up to his My Dear Melancholy, project released back in March. Check out photos of Puma's new XO AW’ 18 collection below. Niki and Gabi DeMartino just released their new lyric video to “Make It Sting”. The track is off of their debut EP, Individual, and N X G teased that this video would be their holiday-themed video this year. “xmas present from @nikidemar & i tmrww 🎄🎁,” Gabi shared with her fans on Twitter. “our holiday music video this year is the lyric video for ‘make it sting’ off of #individual.” Watch the video below. Ally Brooke released her song “Vamonos” singing in Spanish throughout the whole song. K-pop sensation BTS’ “Burn the Stage: The Movie” is set for a global theatrical encore after a cinema attendance record for its limited run earlier this month, the film is heading back into theaters around the world.
Distributor Trafalgar Releasing told Variety that there will be encore showings of “Burn the Stage: The Movie” in 1,400 cinemas globally across 2,696 screens. The U.K. release will be this weekend, followed by other territories over the next few weeks. There will be new screenings in the U.S., Australasia, Germany, Latin America and Indonesia, among other locations. The film will also have its debut in India. In the U.S., tickets for the added Dec. 5-6 run go on sale Monday, with the AMC, Regal, and Cinemark chains all back on board. The encore screenings mean that the film of BTS’ Wings Tour is likely to claim the all-time box office record for an event-cinema movie. It had already notched the record for most admissions, with more than 1.4 million during its original run, eclipsing the previous record-holder, “One Direction: Where We Are.” “Burn the Stage: The Movie” has pulled in $14 million, matching “One Direction: Where We Are.” The new showings should propel the Korean boy-band past One Direction at the box office. The film’s unprecedented success in English-language markets is even more remarkable given that it is subtitled. U.K.-based Trafalgar specializes in event cinema and has been building up its U.S. team this year, adding Kymberli Frueh and others to its ranks. That has allowed it to work across time zones and around the clock on promoting the BTS film, CEO Marc Allenby said. “It’s fan- and content-led, but what we’ve built is the infrastructure so that, when something really hot touches our company, we have the ability to maximize it,” he said. “We’re regularly distributing into 70 to 80 countries globally, and we understand the nuances.” BTS has achieved global superstardom, with more than 550,000 fans turning out for its Wings Tour, which encompassed 40 concerts in 19 cities. “We often talk about event cinema uniting fan groups with a cinema experience…and that’s so clearly true in the case of BTS,” Allenby said. “They were selling out shows within minutes of going on sale. [Fans] knew exactly when tickets would be available. There are stories of a group of 300 girls arriving at a cinema in Mexico demanding the manager sell them tickets before they were on sale.” “There are lots of conversations around the specifics of K-pop, and in general for me, this really helps demonstrate the legitimacy of a cinema release for the music industry,” Allenby said. “With the right artist and campaign and the right engagement from label and management, we can really deliver something together.” Kelly Rowland has been quiet on the music front for quite some time. The former Destiny's Child member dropped her album Talk A Good Game in 2013, and has been behind the scenes ever since. On this thankful holiday, Rowland has ended her musical silence with a self-titled single. "Kelly" is a fresh banger that draws heavy influence from the Atlanta trap sound. Rowland sings about her lavish life and gives herself props on the new single. At the same time, Rowland reminds listeners that she has her foot on the competition's throat, singing that she refuses to remain humble anymore. She walks a thin line between rapping and singing and sounds more confident than ever over the bass-heavy instrumental. If we're lucky, Rowland will deliver a new album sometime soon. In the meantime, enjoy "Kelly." Danielle Bradbery just dropped her new music video for “Goodbye Summer” with Thomas Rhett. The video was filmed in Rosemary Beach, an area that was struck by Category 4 Hurricane Michael, the strongest storm on record to hit the Florida Panhandle. “Rosemary Beach has always been a special place to me, especially now that we captured its beauty in this video,” Danielle shared. “I knew I wanted to help out the local community after Hurricane Michael hit, and the Rosemary Beach Foundation is the perfect organization to partner with.” She continues, “They were immediately providing meals and supplies to the people who lost everything, and now they’re distributing funds to local organizations involved in relief efforts – supporting everything from the rebuilding of homes to purchasing supplies for local schools.” Learn more about the partnership at Danielle‘s official website here.
