Katy Perry releases a new trailer for her “Swish Swish” music video. The video sets up the plot as a fight between two teams. Katy’s, fittingly, is set up as a basketball game with a whole host of unexpected characters. The billing: “the hottest mess in history.” Opening credits feature the coaches of the two teams — the Sheep and the Tigers — Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, respectively. Members of each team include Jenna Ushkowitz (simply noted as “from Glee“), Gaten Matarazzo (from Stranger Things), Christine Sydelko (from The Internet), and of course, Nicki Minaj (as herself). Of course, since no sports game is complete without running narration, commetators Bill Walton and Rich Eisen join the scene. Walton even gets in a line of dialogue, appropriately wondering aloud “Where do they find these people?” Watch the trailer for “Swish Swish” below. Mystikal has been arrested and charged with raping a woman in Louisiana.
Law enforcement sources say Mystikal turned himself in Monday to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department, and he was arrested and booked for first degree rape. Shreveport PD put out the arrest warrant last week, but they hadn't been able to track him down until now. According to cops, another man, Averweone Holman, was also charged in connection with the crime. We're told the charges stem from a 2016 incident involving a woman at a casino where Mystikal was performing. A member from Mystikal's camp say the charges are untrue, and he plans to plead not guilty. He's being held on a $2 million bond. The band returned to the road Saturday night (Aug. 19), with Ivan Moody reclaiming his spot onstage as the singer for the band at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Ill.
The performance opened with Five Finger Death Punch playing “Lift Me Up,” and it was a hits-filled set including “Wash It All Away,” “Got Your Six,” “Bad Company,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Wrong Side of Heaven,” “Coming Down,” “Over and Under It” and “The Bleeding” among other favorites. Meanwhile, Five Finger Death Punch posted a photo on their social media in which Moody offered the quote, “I told ya … ain’t my last dance.” See that posting below. Back in June, Moody took the stage two songs into the band’s performance in the Netherlands and the chaotic and shortened set was capped by Moody telling the crowd that it was his last show with the band. Moody later issued a statement that he was “embarrassed and ashamed to admit that I have fallen off the wagon again.” He exited the group to continue treatment for his battle with sobriety. Five Finger Death Punch vowed to continue performing and did so with Tommy Vext filling in, helping them complete their European tour dates. With Moody back in the fold, Five Finger Death Punch will continue their touring tonight (Aug. 20) headlining the Moonstock Festival in Carterville, Ill. See the band’s upcoming stops here. Rumors of Eminem reuniting with Pink for a new collaborative track has just surfaced.
It’s been seven years since the duo first teamed up on the fiery song “Won’t Back Down” on Em’s 2010 Recovery album. Two years later, the pair reunited on “Here Comes the Weekend” off Pink’s The Truth About Love. According to Rap-Up, Tony Travatto, Senior VP/Programming at iHeartMedia in Michigan, has heard the new Eminem and Pink song and it’s supposedly amazing. “He says that there is a new Eminem, Pink song coming out, that he said is unbelievable,” explained the host of Detroit’s radio show, Mojo in the Morning. “He said he got a chance to be one of the first to hear it and it’ll be coming out here very soon.” There’s no official word if the song will appear on Slim Shady’s new project, which is reportedly due out in the fall or on Pink’s album, Beautiful Trauma, which hits stores on Oct. 13. Eminem has been busy the last couple of months. In addition to working on his new album, he has teamed up with South Korean music video director Joseph Kahn to produced a satirical rap battle film called Bodied. The film, which stars famous battle rappers like Loaded Lux and Hollow Da Don, premieres at the Toronto Film Festival in September. In an interview with Q93’s Wild Wayne, Lil Wayne says Tha Carter V is done and he’s going to drop it when the time is right. “I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way,” he said. “Honestly, I can do what I want at any time.”
“The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right,” he continues. “I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give them Carter V the wrong way.” Wayne adds that while Tha Carter V is on hold, he’s been releasing new music. In the end, he’s in no rush to release the project. “It’s on the shelf, just ready to drop. I ain’t gotta do that,” he states. “I move on and keep it moving and give them what I’m doing right now. Carter V is ready to be listened to. It’s just gotta be listened to the right way and like I said, I’m not gonna give it to them wrong.” At this point it looks like Wayne is just waiting until his ongoing legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money is over. Black Sabbath finished their final tour earlier this year, appropriately titled The End. To commemorate the event, the group filmed a concert film Black Sabbath: The End of the End. Recently, the band posted a new 60-second trailer for the video, which you can watch above. The concert film revolves around the group’s last show of the final tour in their hometown of Birmingham, England. The film will take fans inside the momentous show, filled to the brim with excellent production and career defining performances from the group. The trailer shows just how massive the show was, packed wall-to-wall with screaming fans while the band took the stage one last time. According to a press release, “The film brings fans the up close and personal story of the final, emotionally charged concert, as the band perform hits, including ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Paranoid,’ ‘War Pigs’ and many more. Join Sabbath in the studio, as they deliver unique and exclusive performances of some of their favorite songs not played on the tour, and catch an intimate glimpse into the band’s world; the music, relationships and banter, alongside personal anecdotes.” “To bring it all back home after all these years was pretty special,” Black Sabbath said in a statement. “It was so hard to say goodbye to the fans, who’ve been incredibly loyal to us through the years. We never dreamed in the early days that we’d be here 49 years later doing our last show on our home turf.” Black Sabbath: The End of the End will screen in movie theaters around the world on Sept. 28. Get ticketing details, where the film will be playing and additional information at the event website.
