Demi Lovato started an online fundraiser for GLAAD via Facebook on Tuesday (June 26) to celebrate Pride and raise money in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Setting her goal at $5,000, the singer exceeded it within just a couple hours with $7,500 raised and growing.
Lovato was honored at the Annual GLAAD Media Awards in 2016 and has been a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. “Join me in supporting a good cause,” she wrote. “I'm raising money for GLAAD and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps.”

Judge Genece Brinkley shut down Meek Mills motion for a new trial, despite prosecutors acknowledging he should get one.
Brinkley made her ruling Monday, saying, "After an in-depth review of the record, court history, notes of testimony, and evidence submitted at the evidentiary hearing, this court hereby denies defendant's petition for PCRA relief as defendant failed to meet his burden of proof." Even the D.A. repeatedly stated Meek deserved a new trial due to the fact his arresting officer, who is the sole witness in Meek's 2008 trial, is at the center of a massive Philadelphia police corruption scandal. In her ruling, the judge basically dismisses the notion the police officer who arrested Meek, Officer Graham, is really dirty because the fellow officer who charged him isn't credible. She also dismisses the fact Graham failed a polygraph test about pocketing money. Judge Brinkley also said even IF you believe Graham was a dirty cop, she believes it would NOT have changed the jury's guilty verdict in 2008. You'll recall ... the PA Supreme Court released Meek on bail back in April, from his 2-4 year prison sentence, pending the hearing for a new trial. Paramore Releases fun fruity video for"Caught In The Middle," out today (June 26). The late '80s/early-'90s style video is a psychedelic blend of kaleidoscopic colors and surreal imagery reminiscent of the early MTV era. Frontwoman Hayley Williams & Co. run on top of fruit, float in space and play instruments made of light while performing the song. "Caught In The Middle" is the fifth single off of the band's fifth album, After Laughter, which nabbed the 15th spot on our favorite albums of 2017 list.

UPDATE: Ariana Grande just gave US a gift for HER birthday! The songstress, who just turned 25-years-old, dropped a clip of another song from Sweetener!“When raindrops fell down from the sky, the day you left me, an angel cried,” Ariana sings in the snippet.
Fans think the clip is from the song “Raindrops,” which Ariana previously revealed to be a track title. Check out the entire teaser below…
Sweetener's arrival may be weeks away, but Ariana Grande is flipping the script and giving her fans a present on her birthday in the form of some new sounds.
The Dangerous Woman turns 25 on Tuesday (June 26), and she's making like she did with new song "The Light Is Coming" by posting a sneak peek of her new material -- and she may reveal it before the clock strikes midnight. So far, "The Light Is Coming" -- which features friend and frequent collaborator Nicki Minaj -- is the only track people have heard before Sweetener arrives, which is scheduled for an Aug. 17 release. The catchy beat of the single made its way into Grande's social media posts and a brief preview of the track at Wango Tango earlier this month before the official premiere of the single last Thursday (June 21), but it all started with hints and whispers of its bass line, which is more or less what we can expect in Grande's birthday message. Happy Birthday, Ariana -- and thank you for the birthday present in advance! — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) June 25, 2018
Marshmello gets animated in his new video for "Fly," which features the DuckTales gang. Disney's Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby -- all stars in the cartoon series -- appear in an outer space adventure in "Fly." The clip debuted Saturday night on the Disney Channel during an airing of The Incredibles, just before the Radio Disney Music Awards began. Cardi B wasn’t joking about that whole invasion-of-privacy thing.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper and her supposed fiancé Offset, who are expecting a child together, are actually already husband and wife, according to a marriage certificate TMZ posted on their site. The certificate was filed under their legal names, Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar and Kiari Kendrell Cephus, on Sept. 20, 2017, in Fulton County, Georgia, where they both currently reside. Cardi B confirmed that they’d secretly wed in a note released Monday on Instagram that talks about “moments that I want to keep for myself!” She explains that the two woke up one morning and decided to tie the knot in private with just her cousin as a witness. “Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other,” Cardi B wrote. “I said I do, with no dress no make up and no ring!” she added. YouTube star Tana Mongeau has received backlash from social media after her planned convention for fellow creators and fans was reportedly shut down due to an overwhelming response in attendance.
The event, called TanaCon, was to be held on Friday and Saturday (June 22 and 23), Just Jared Jr. explained. The weekend was set to feature appearances from Bella Thorne, Shane Dawson, Miranda Sings, and surprise guests. Tana's conference fell on the same weekend as another creator conference called VidCon, a decision that was purposeful, according to the YouTube star. She had previously explained her issues with the convention, and had also called out VidCon for not giving her a featured creator badge during a past event, Polygon noted. TanaCon did get underway on Friday, but some fans waiting outside to get in started experiencing sickness due to the heat, according to Polygon. As the day went on, fans who hadn't registered began showing up in an attempt to enter the event. Tana addressed some of what was happening outside on Twitter, writing: "Straight up, there are 20,000 people outside so we are doing everything to get AS MANY people inside as the venue as we can as safely as possible and are doing our best to extend to another day for free completely my loves." She later shared that she was "sending hundreds of employees outside to separate the crowd from people with tickets already and people without to get as many people inside as possible!" Despite continued tweeting with updates, the YouTube creator later revealed that the event was being shut down due to "unsafe conditions." "I just want to reiterate 20,000 people showed up outside which is unsafe anywhere and security and safety is my number one priority. We were told vidcon itself was holding around 20,000 and we are so mind blown," she tweeted. In additional tweets, she expressed her hope to possibly move the event to another venue for Saturday. Early Saturday morning, Tana tweeted that the event had been cancelled and refunds would be given to fans. In a statement issued by Tana's management company Good Times, the company addressed the cancellation and cited safety as the reasoning behind their decision to prematurely end the convention. Tana also tweeted, writing,"I should've prepared better. Regardless of if people were telling me different, TanaCon is attached to ME. And I take full responsibility." Although the inaugural TanaCon did not go as planned, Tana has already expressed her hope for holding another event in the future, tweeting, "Until things got chaotic, it was everything I wanted and more, and I'm excited to create that atmosphere again in a different place." XXXTentacion's funeral arrangements will offer fans a chance to say their final goodbyes.
The "Look at Me" rapper will be memorialized in his native Florida Wednesday (June 27) at Sunrise's BB&T Center, where an open casket viewing at the funeral rite will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., a rep confirmed to Entertainment Online Saturday (June 23). No cellular devices or cameras will be allowed at the service. A suspect in connection with the rapper's death, 22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams, was arrested Wednesday (June 20) on charges of first-degree murder and violating his probation for car theft and operating a vehicle without a valid license. Following Williams' arrest, it was implied by the musician's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, that XXXTentacion was expecting his first child. Per a June 23 report by The New York Times, Williams and his accomplice may have trailed Onfroy throughout RIVA Motorsports store before approaching the "SAD!" emcee for his property. Using the store's surveillance footage, authorities were able to identify Williams by a pair of bright orange sandals which the 22-year-old had also been seen wearing on social media. |
