Sam Smith stripped things down with an acoustic version of his lovelorn ballad 'To Die For". Accompanying the performance with intimate studio visuals. “To Die For” originally released on Valentine’s Day (February 14) to follow previously-released offerings like “Dancing with a Stranger” featuring Normani, “How Do You Sleep?” and a cover of Donna Summer’s“I Feel Love.” As they explained, the tune was written for “all the lonely hearts out there.” Teasing the record’s arrival in a statement, Smith expressed, “Releasing this song is going to be a wild one – I feel like it’s from one of the deepest parts of me. I wrote this with Jimmy Napes and Stargate in L.A. during a time of self-discovery and heartbreak.” Fans of the open-hearted track can expect to hear the song on Smith’s upcoming third studio album, To Die For, out everywhere on May 1 via Capitol Records. "I‘m more proud of this album than anything I’ve ever done," Smith said of the project, expected to be the artist’s most liberating yet. "I’ve really set myself free the last two years whilst writing this & I hope you can dance and relate to these stories. It’s all for you, always." A new single from To Die For, titled “I’m Ready,” is expected to be released on March 27.

The festival's promoter, Goldenvoice, is in the process now of informing reps for all the acts. The official announcement will likely come once that's done. The massive music festival was originally scheduled for the weekends of April 10 and April 17, but it's now going the way of several other festivals that are either postponing or pulling the plug altogether. South by Southwest canceled last week, as did the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Even live touring legend Pearl Jam just announced it would postpone its upcoming spring dates. County music fans gotta change their travel plans too -- the Stagecoach festival is postponing from April 24 to October 23.

Petty was initially arrested after a traffic stop last year in Bev Hills -- prosecutors say that's when they discovered he was registered as a sex offender in NY, but not yet in California. He was charged by the L.A. County D.A. for not registering before the federal government arrested him last week for the same crime. While the L.A. County charge has been dropped, Petty will be back in court next month for the federal case, and he has to wear an ankle monitor until then. Petty's sex offender status stems from a 1995 NY conviction for first-degree attempted rape. NCT 127‘s second album featuring 13-tracks called ‘NCT #127 Neo Zone,’ dropped on Friday (March 6). As the vocals of BTS's Jungkook and Jimin arrive, he puts his head down in defeat, before rising to sing along with them, expressing the desperation of the song and emulating their vocals. “Who” follows Lauv’s collaboration with BTS on last year’s remix of “Make It Right,” which was released initially on the septet’s Billboard 200-chart-topping Map of the Soul: Persona.
