5SOS Will Release New Single 'Want You Back' This Week

On Monday morning (February 19),- 5 Seconds of Summer have officiall announced their newest single "Want You Back" would drop this Friday (February 23).

"WANT YOU BACK // COMING 23.02.18" the band tweeted, proving 5SOSer's suspicions that new music was on the way after the group — comprising bandmates Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, and Calum Hood — beaconed a mysterious new project when they tweeted an intriguing pic last Thursday (February 15), captioned: "BEHIND THE SCENES 2018."

Leading up to today's surprise reveal, the "She Looks So Perfect" stars previewed the cover art for the new song in a series of cryptic tweets. One such tweet seemed to show lyrics from the tune, like: "No matter where I go, I'm always gonna want you back / No matter how long you're gone, I'm always gonna want you back."
