K.Flay's new video "Not in California" debuted on the same day the United Nations' global climate summit took place (Monday, Sept. 23). In her new video, the star sends home the point even further, depicting a world where heaps of trash and debris are the new normal to address "our collective inaction on climate change, and the sense of disbelief that I think so many of us feel,” as she wrote in a statement. Opening with K.Flay using one mound of garbage as a pool floatie, the video follows the singer as she dances her way through a refuse-filled neighborhood, the whole time wondering how this happened. Eventually, she decides to take action by walking around the neighborhood and cleaning up -- except when a group of wealthy neighbors see her doing it, they call what appears to be a police force who come and arrest K.Flay, and dump her picked-up waste back on the ground, revealing the true dystopian setting of the video. In a statement, K.Flay made it abundantly clear that while the video does take place in an alternate setting (the same timeline, in fact, as her previous videos for "Bad Vibes" and "Sister"), it's not a far stretch from reality. "We're looking out at a world that is getting hotter and scarier by the day, and still nothing seems to compel the government to take action," she said. "The video imagines a trash universe in which social isolation and littering and bad policing are the status quo -- a universe that doesn't feel so different from ours now.”
Aaron Carter has accused Nick Carter of raping a 91-year-old woman.
The 31-year-old singer called out his brother in a lengthy message posted to Instagram this weekend, in which he made some disturbing allegations against the Backstreet Boys member. He alleges Nick sexually assaulted an elderly woman in his pick up truck years ago while their mother was taking care of her. "Hey @fbi my brother raped Mildred and told me in confidence in his pick up truck she was 91 years old and my brother told me he covered her mouth so no one could hear her scream," Aaron wrote. He went on to say he'd gladly do a polygraph test to prove he's telling the truth. â "Put me on a polygraph machine please @fbi my mother knows she was taking care of two elderly women who were on hospice Mildred and opal who my mother was keeping alive. @fbi what are you gonna do about that!? NOTHING!?," he continued. "Iâm REPORTING A RAPE FROM NICK ON SN ELDERLY WOMEN WHO WAS DYING AND WAS 91 that he raped. Strap nick up to a polygraph machine and a really good one please." Aaron Carter/InstagramAaron's recent behavior, accusations and social media meltdowns definitely have fans worried, so in another lengthy message, the "I Want Candy" hitmaker addressed their concerns. "Iâm well aware many of you have shown concern for me over the past few weeks. Having people who genuinely care for you is something that should never be taken for granted," he wrote. "For as long as I can remember, Iâve chased unconditional love and hoped for true stability in my family. Iâve spent most of my adult life seeking validation from these same people. I started to get a chip on my shoulder when I kept coming up short on something that doesnât cost a thing. LOVE. All I want is Love. What has transpired recently does not represent my true wants or needs." Event organizers backed out on the idea and brought a free music festival to Vegas, after some US officials warned everyone do not come to Area 51
The dance party was a separate, 2-day event held at the Alien Research Center, which is a souvenir shop 100 miles out of Vegas. Before the dance party, there was a screening of the movie, "Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers." The original plan was for millions of people to storm Area 51 to "see them aliens." The event planners, Matty Roberts and Frank DiMaggio, started a Facebook page invite to go searching for aliens, but changed course when law enforcement and the military got involve. The problem is that if there are no such thing as Aliens or if there isn't something the government is keeping from us, then why such the ominous warning to stay away.
