NBA YoungBoy was just arrested for violating his probation.
Law enforcement say the rapper was taken into custody immediately following a hearing in East Baton Rouge Friday, being detained for at least 30 days. District Judge Bonnie Jackson ruled his involvement in the Miami fatal shooting last weekend, along with a social media post about it, constituted a probation violation -- even though he was the target, not the shooter. YoungBoy was shot at on Mother's Day outside the Trump Beach Resort near Miami, and at least one person was killed. We obtained video of the wild scene inside the hotel following the gunfire, in which the rapper rushes to the side of his girlfriend, Kay Marie, who was hit by a bullet. The judge ordered the rapper detained Friday, citing the shooting and a social media post in which it appears YoungBoy talks about the shooting and threatens retaliation. The post violates his probation from an August 2017 sentence for aggravated assault with a firearm. The judge put him on probation for 3 years after giving him a suspended 10-year prison term, and one of the conditions was that he stays off social media. He's been arrested twice since then -- in Florida in 2018 and in Georgia earlier this year for weed and disorderly conduct.

Madison Beer released her new music video for “Dear Society,” which is the first single off her forthcoming debut album due out this summer, as a symbol of the constant pressure to be perfect in today’s society. “‘Dear Society’ really is my letter to society where I express the anguish I’ve been caused from such an image-based industry and culture we live in,” Beer, 20, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I also wanted to talk about the effects of this pressure as well as the causes, hearing voices in my head and losing countless nights of sleep; and despite my resentment for this cause and effect, I am still very much stuck in this life and I still use it and live it every day.” “I’m so incredibly proud of it,” she says. “I’m excited for my fans to hear my heart and what I’ve been through.” “I’ve been back and forth in the studio since January when I’m home in LA,” she adds. “I’m constantly writing and the process for this album has been one I’ll always cherish. Each song is important to me in its own right, and I think everyone will be surprised when they hear it.” DJ Khaled releases Nipsey Hussle's final music video for their joint track "Higher", nearly two months after the rapper was gunned down outside of his Los Angeles clothing store. The video opens with Nipsey, who’s dressed in an all-blue ensemble, reminiscing about his grandmother and the memories he’s created with his family while walking around a Los Angeles neighborhood. “Los Angeles love, kinda of like Hussle and Boog,” Nipsey raps of his girlfriend Lauren London, using her nickname Boogie. Nipsey and London, both from Los Angeles, had been dating for six years at the time of his death. “Mani turned ten, Kross turned two,” Nipsey continues in reference to the couple’s son and his daughter from a previous relationship. The rapper then speaks on his past and how far he’s come in life saying, “Dance with the devil and test our faith/ I was thinkin’ chess moves but it was God’s grace.” On Wednesday, Khaled, 43, announced on Twitter that he would be honoring the slain rapper with the release of their song on his album Father of Asahd, which dropped at midnight on Friday. He explained the song’s proceeds will go to Nipsey’s children. Hussle died from gunshot wounds to both the head and torso, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed. “Paramedics were called and [Hussle who was born Ermias Joseph Asghedom] was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m.,” the coroner said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. Eric Holder was charged in early April with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

"Major breaking news, you ready?" Kevin Jonas said in the clip announcing the trio's performance. "Joe, Nick and I, the Jonas Brothers, we will be singing our new single, 'Cool,' on the live Voicefinale!" Nick added, "It's gonna be an epic night of music. Don't miss it." The JoBros confirmation came shortly after the show tweeted out a video with the caption, "Hey @taylorswift13 who's performing at #TheVoice finale?" accompanied by a video of TSwift in one of the show's signature red chairs, spinning around and saying "ME!" Tuesday night's episode revealed the final four contestants vying for the prize next week. Judges Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson will be on the sidelines when it all goes down, as the final four are comprised of three singers from Blake Shelton's team and one from John Legend's. But what had Voice fans a little thrown, is that the hashtag #BTSonTheVoice and #BTSxTheVoice hashtags gained a lot more Twitter traction than #VoiceSaveRod and #VoiceSaveShawn. The Voice season finale will air on NBC Tuesday, May 21. One day after releasing their new single "I Don't Care," Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber released a preview of the music video for their latest collaboration. A teaser clip includes a glimpse at a green screen and Sheeran walking around in public in a panda costume. Bieber commented on his duet partner's post: "We have a video? Oh yeah we do. I don’t care." Bieber later took to Instagram on Thursday (May 16) to confirm the video will be out Friday (May 17).

Shortly after releasing the track, Tomlinson's sister Félicité tragically died at age 18. Britney Spears is out of rehab but is not going back to Vegas for another residency anytime soon, and maybe never.
Sources report Britney is not in mental or physical shape to resume rehearsals for the series of shows, which were supposed to start back in February. Britney's manager, Larry Rudolph, told TMZ.com, "As the person who guides her career -- based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis -- from what I have gathered it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again." Rudolph is not involved in Britney's conservatorship and only given medical information that directly impacts Britney's career. He says Britney was 2/3 of the way through rehearsals for the reboot when her father took ill late last year. Rudolph says "It was the perfect storm. We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad's illness." The residency, which was supposed to kick off February 13, was put on ice. Rudolph tells us it's always been up to Britney when she wanted to work and when she didn't. He said, "Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day. She was excited. She hasn't called me in months. Crickets. She clearly doesn't want to perform now." As for Britney's future, Rudolph says, "I don't want her to work again 'till she's ready, physically, mentally and passionately. If that time never comes again it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I'm here to tell her if it's a good idea or a bad idea." YouTube star James Charles' upcoming national speaking tour is still happening despite having a mass exodus of followers during his current feud with fellow beauty vlogger, Tati Westbrook. James' YouTube account is about 3 million followers lighter, as the fallout over his beef with Tati continues. But for now the staggering loss of clout isn't putting an end to his upcoming Sisters Tour. The tour begins at the end of June, and venues for 6 of the initial tour stops tell us they're still making plans to host James. Tickets are still on sale for each of his 24 tour dates -- and they ain't exactly going cheap. Some people have been shelling out a whopping $500 to score VIP seats. BUT all sales are final. The loss of followers is not hurting James on the road. He's currently in the midst of a mini-tour in Australia, and still has over 13 MILLION YouTube subscribers. |
