Vanessa Hudgens is teasing her highly-anticipated return to music. The "Powerless" actress said in a recent AOL interview that fans who are eagerly awaiting her follow-up to 2008's Identified may soon be very happy. "I actually am," Hudgens said when we asked if she had been recording at all. "You'll get a little surprise taste soon." When asked about the nearly decade-long hiatus between major releases, the star cited her natural inclination towards acting as the reason for her absence from the music scene. "Acting has always been my No. 1 passion," she explained. "Singing is a close second, but acting has always been my main focus." The former "High School Musical" star, has been working hard on her new sitcom, "Powerless." In fact, it's actually the most time she's ever put into a project. "It's definitely the hardest I've ever worked in front of the camera," she said of the gig. "Long hours, really long days. But I'm really lucky, because I have a cast that I absolutely adore. "Everyone has responded really positively to it," she continued. "I personally just love it, and I think that's the most important thing. I tune in every week. It's really fun, and you don't have to take it seriously. You can just tune in and enjoy a good laugh." "Powerless" airs on NBC Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. EST
