On Tuesday night’s live results episode of NBC's The Voice, the top 10 artists of season 12 were announced. The bottom two artists had to sing live for the instant save. Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys also performed live with their teams and Season 10's winner Alisan Porter performed
After the announcement of the Top 9 who were voted in by America, a performance by Season 10's Alisan Porter and Alicia Keys letting fans know she would not be returning next season, so she could work on her Album, it was down to Team Adam’s Mark Isaiah and Team Alicia’s Stephanie Rice to sing for the instant save. Isaiah was in this same position last week. Rice went first, singing “Issues” by Julia Michaels. It was different than anything else she has done on the show, but it was yet another stunning display of her artistry and singer-songwriter vibe. Isaiah, singing again for the save, followed with a performance of “7 Years” by Lukas Graham. Isaiah got the save again, and Rice went home despite being one of the most original and multitalented artists in the competition. America spoke and it was arguably the biggest upset of the season so far.
