Not everyone is saying NO, to performing at Donald Trumps inauguration festivities, but now the President-Elect has locked down hit-making rock band 3 Doors Down to play a ‘Welcome Celebration’ concert with Toby Keith as part of the events surrounding his inauguration.
The “‘Make America Great Again!’ Welcome Celebration” is set for Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Lincoln Memorial and will be broadcast live. Other acts slated to perform include Jennifer Holiday, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, Tim Rushlow (Little Texas), Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Marty Roe (Diamond Rio) and Lee Greenwood.
Trump’s actual swearing-in inauguration ceremony will take place the next day, Jan. 20.
In November, a false report indicated Motley Crue legend Vince Neil was tapped to perform at Trump’s inauguration ceremony. As it turns out, this invite was extended prior to the election and subsequently rescinded following Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton, suggested the singer was selected by the Democratic party.
It was also reported that KISS “politely declined” the opportunity to perform at the inauguration after TMZ caught up with Gene Simmons and his family in December. While the questions regarding KISS performing at the inauguration were directed towards the bassist, his wife, Shannon Tweed, and daughter, Sophie, were quick to speak in his place.
