Halsey releases 'Strangers' off hopeless fountain kingdom featuring Lauren Jauregui.
Released on Friday (May 26), “Strangers” is an ’80s new wave-influenced mid-tempo that recalls the neon-hued romantic melodrama of Black Mirror‘s “San Junipero” episode. In a resent radio interview Halsey shared that “Strangers” is a pro-LGBTQ love song. “I just love that Lauren and I are two women who have a mainstream pop presence doing a love song for the LGBTQ community. It’s unheard of. It’s very rare to see it from a female perspective,” she dished about the upcoming tune. Meanwhile, Jauregui was an obvious choice for the progressive duet, as Halsey explained during her interview. “I was thinking to myself, if I want this song to be believable, it needs to be real, so I’m not going to put a girl on the song to sing who’s straight. I’m just not going to do it. So I reached out to Lauren, and she came in and she cut the vocal and it sounds awesome,” the singer-songwriter said, adding, “Our voices sound really cool together because we both have really raspy voices. Mine’s a little more delicate than hers. Hers is like really powerful and big and raspy, and mine is kind of like light and raspy. But it’s really cool.'

Troye Sivan and Martin Garrix released their new single, and music video, featuring concert footage—on Friday (May 26). “Last year took a toll on me / But I made it with you next to me / Around the world and back again / I hope you waited at the end,” Sivan sings, seemingly pleading with a lover, or maybe even his loving fan base. “But I can’t do this alone / Sometimes I just need a light / If I call you on the phone / I need you on the other side,” he croons, promising that in return, he’ll be “there for you.” “But you gotta be there for me too,” Sivan sings before the drop, as a flurry of chirpy synths fly in. Earlier this year it was announced that SZA’s debut album, CTRL, would be coming this year—specifically February, but it was pushed back. After many delays Anthony Tiffith announced they finally have a firm date for the much-anticipated project—June 9.
RZA joined in on the announcement, which features a video with SZA in front of a bunch of old computer monitors on a small, grassy hill, stretching and being all Matrix-like. “I’m zoning in with my homegirl, SZA—Self Savior, Zig-Zag-Zig Allah,” he says. “Yeah, I think you can take that far, Mama. Ya know what I mean? Cut loose the drama, no melodrama. Rise to the top, claim ya karma. And it’s my honor to drop this lesson, it’s my honor to give this blessing.” It's no secret Lana Del Rey has a new album coming out, but she’s been coy about the details. In March, after hearing lead single “Love,” we learned that the album was called Lust For Life and heard the Weeknd-featuring title track. Earlier this month, we heard another song, “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind,” and now it's finally been announced that the album is actually coming out July 21.
Live Nation is sympathetic to people who bought tickets for concerts in England, offering them refunds if they're too frightend to attend any upcoming events. Sources at Live Nation say refunds will be available for UK concerts featuring Katy Perry, Iron Maiden, KISS, Robbie Williams, Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, and James Arthur. Live Nation has not made a decision on refunds for other countries, but they are having discussions and expect to come up with a policy soon. The decision to refund tickets in England is partly because the Prime Minister has made it clear ... another attack seems imminent. America Not Happy Over Normani Kordei’s ‘Popularity Contest...I Mean Dancing With the Stars’ Loss5/24/2017 Dancing with the Stars finally ended in controversy again! Tuesday night (May 23) Normani Kordei was eliminated before New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings beat out David Ross to ultimately win the title. Kordei finished in third place, causing the kind of outrage. Celebrities and non-celebrities were left in disbaleif. Twitter lit up like the Mirror Ball trophy that the singer will not be placing on her mantle anytime soon — even her Fifth Harmony bandmate couldn’t help but shout her disappointment. As you remember last week episode was not with it's own controversy as David Ross beat out Olympian Simone Biles who scored a PERFECT 80!!!! BTS’ huge win at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards has started an important conversations about Asian representation and international music in mainstream pop culture.
The seven-member boy band won the award over Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes and Ariana Grande thanks to a heavy commitment to their social accounts (which include more than 26 million followers across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and their V app) and their dedicated fans voting for them, but there's a deeper reason to why there's so much excitement over the septet. While they aren't the first, BTS are the latest K-pop act focusing their music on social, mental and political issues to connect with an international audience. Songs like "Blood Sweat & Tears" or "I Need U" talk about being dangerously in love, but other tracks like "Whalien 52" heartbreakingly detail loneliness while "Spring Day" acts an inspiration anthem. It's been a focus on more personal and relatable topics that have helped BTS fans—affectionately known as Army—connect on an even deeper level with the pop act which has parlayed into an overwhelming amount of support that saw the group earn K-pop's biggest sales week in America and ultimately help them win their BBMA. The K-pop scene has been making inroads in America for years, and BTS are taking the next big step to continue the journey begun by the artists before them. By finding a deep connection with listeners to incite an excitement and passion for the group, BTS are not only making major moves in the mainstream industry but doing so in a way that could mean larger representation for future Asian and international acts. SOURCE: FUSE TV Meek Mill is flossin' in his new materialistic video for “Glow Up.” To celebrate his 30th birthday, the Philly spitfire flew from Miami to the Dominican Republic for a vacay and to shoot the clip. Before the actual video started, Meek took time out to thank God for his blessings. The Maybach Music Group artist didn’t think he would be alive to see the age of 30. “I never thought I’d turn 30,” he tells the camera. “When you’re 17, you be like, ‘I wondered what I’m gonna be like when I’m 30…’ Matter fact, don’t even think about it. You ain’t turnin’ 30. You’ll probably get killed.’” “That’s how I always used to think and now, we’re here,” he continues. “I’m turning 30 on a jet, 30,000 feet in the air.” From there, the video get celebratory as Meek and his friends party in a lavish mansion while counting major cash and dancing with pretty women. We also get invited to a pool party as well. Meek will head out on the road this summer with Yo Gotti on their joint Against All Odds Tour. The 21-city tour kicks off Cleveland on July |
