Janet Jackson‘s Unbreakable World Tour faced several problems including a pregnancy during its turbulent run from 2015 to 2016, from postponed tour dates due to surgery, “scheduling difficulties” in the UK and Europe, and, eventually, a pause on the entire tour to start a family with now ex-husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.
According to some ATRL members, their postponed Ticketmaster tickets just updated today (Apr. 14) with new dates — and possibly even a new tour name: The State Of The World Tour, a Rhythm Nation 1814 song title. One screenshot from a user shows their 2015 Fort Lauderdale date now moved to December 11, while another user noticed that their Portland ticket is now rescheduled to September 29. LiveNation also allegedly created a placeholder page for a State Of The World Tour, although the link only provides a 404 Error page — for now. Janet last performed live in Dubai last year at the Meydan Racecourse for the Dubai World Cup. “I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can,” she breathily promised us before the postponement. We have reached out to reps for Janet Jackson and LiveNation for comment.
