Vanessa Hudgens apologized, saying her words about the pandemic were "insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation." She also calls the backlash she received a "huge wake up call" about the importance of what she says. She claims her comments are being taken out of context and she's not taking the situation lightly ... despite what her earlier remarks implied. She adds that she's under self-quarantine herself during this "crazy time" and hopes everyone is doing the same. One thing she didn't add, however, was an apology.
Vanessa said that our current situation "sounds like a bunch of bulls**t"! She said, "Even if everybody gets it ... like, yeah ... people are gonna die, which is terrible, but like ... inevitable?" You do have to see how she said it because tone makes all the difference here, and this seems as close to tone deaf as you can get. Ahead of the backlash Vanessa seemed to have caught herself, adding ... "Maybe I shouldn't be doing this right now."
