Soon after the announcement that Tyra Banks will be replacing Nick Cannon on 'Americas Got Talent', Tyra announced that she is returning to host America's Next Top Model for the upcoming 24th season. "I missed my ANTM baby so Mama's back," the mogul tweeted on Thursday.
Rita Ora stepped in as the host for the the 23rd cycle that aired on VH1, where Banks continued to serve as executive producer. But now she will reclaim her crown after she hosted ANTM for 22 consecutive cycles before The CW canceled the show in 2015. “Tyra has always been the heart and soul of the franchise, and her absence was deeply felt by our fiercely loyal fans who missed their Queen of the Smize," co-executive producer Ken Mok said in a statement. "We’d like to thank Rita Ora for being a great partner and total pro. She infused this new iteration of ANTM with passion and creativity and we wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors." Banks echoed Mok's sentiments. “I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the intensity of the ANTM fan base whose deep affection for the show led me to have a change of heart," she said. "After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ANTM is woven into my DNA.”
