After numerous delays and setbacks, Tinashe’s new album Joyride is finally available for streaming at all digital platforms including Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music.
The 12-track collection boasts her trap&B banger “No Drama” featuring Offset and the dancehall-influenced “Me So Bad” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and French Montana. Other songs on the LP include the melodic "He Don't Want It," the bouncy EDM-driven "Stuck With Me" featuring Little Dragon and the power ballad "Fires and Flames." Tinashe acknowledges that it took a long time for her project to get released (she blames herself for that). But now that it’s in stores, she feels like a huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders. “It just feels right, complete, and urgent. It represents me,” she recently told Vulture. The 25-year-old singer is proud of Joyride and feels that fans will appreciate the album. “It accomplishes what I wanted, sonically, which was to create this music that feels like it borrows from different genres, but it’s hard to place all the songs in a specific genre,” she said. "I’ve always felt more comfortable as an artist being that way. The subject matter and energy is also up and that was important to me, too. I wanted to be excited [about this record] and have it be in your face.”
