Marion “Suge” Knight reportedly has filed new legal documents claiming that Dr. Dre wanted him killed for $20,000.

Suge claims in his documents that in July 2016 he was shown a check made out by Dr. Dre for $20,000 to a man named Dwayne Johnson (no correlation to the famous actor). Apparently this was blood money to have him killed after he ran over Terry Carter in a 2015 hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles.

Suge claims that he met with both Johnson and a private investigator who told him that the $20,000 was a partial payment for “Dwayne Johnson to participate in my murder.” Apparently, Johnson was at the Tam’s parking lot when Suge ran over Carter, killing him, and injuring another man, Cle “Bone” Sloan. The former Death Row Records founder is awaiting trial for attempted murder and murder in that case.

Attorneys for Dr. Dre calls Suge’s allegations “absurd."

Interestingly, Suge Knight filed court documents in 2016 claiming that Dr. Dre was behind his 2014 shooting at the 10AK nightclub in Los Angeles. If you recall, Suge was shot multiple times – once in the stomach, arm and other places – by an unknown gunman inside the club. Miraculously, the 51-year-old rap mogul walked outside of the venue on his own and was transported to a local hospital. Suge eventually recovered from the shooting.
