 Spoon have announced a tour in support of their forthcoming album Hot Thoughts, with stops in both the U.S. and Europe. American concerts begin in April at Mobile, Ala., followed by a European leg and then another run of stateside dates. Before then, Spoon will also play three nights at the Main in Austin during SXSW. A complete list of dates, cities and venues is below. The band has already released the title track from Hot Thoughts, which their label has said is “the bravest, most sonically inventive work of Spoon’s career.” The song made its live debut, along with three other tunes, at a secret January show in their hometown of Austin. Nearly two minutes of another Hot Thoughts track titled “I Ain’t the One” also played over the final scene and closing credits of an episode of the Showtime series Shameless. Spoon is set to release their new album on March 17.
