N.E.R.D. is back after seven years with No_One Ever Really Dies.
Leading up to the project, the group dropped a couple of singles, including one featuring Rihanna, "Lemon," and more recently "Don't Do It," featuring Kendrick Lamar, which is based on the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott by Charlotte police back in 2016. The 11 track album has also has features from Gucci Mane, Wale, M.I.A., Ed Sheeran, and André 3000. "It just hits you when it hits you," Pharrell told Jimmy Kimmel last night about making the project. "And for me, I just can't make things by myself." He went on to talk about working with bandmates Chad Hugo and Shay Haley again. "This whole entire thing we did with our eyes closed— and not because we're that good by any means, but because if we had had our eyes open we would've gotten distracted by all the trends and all the stuff that was going on," Pharrell told Kimmel. "So we made this music with feeling, I think we wrote it with feeling, the visuals that we're doing has feeling." Stream the album below and watch N.E.R.D.'s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! up top.
