The first look at the upcoming doll collection from Mattel based on BTS is here.
The American toy manufacturer teased both individual and group shots of the pint-sized pop stars after previously sharing small glimpses of the collection. “MIC Drop, ARMY!,” tweeted Mattel’s official account, referencing the group’s 2017 single that went on to become a RIAA-certified platinum hit. “For the first time ever, we're thrilled to show you the line of #BTSxMattel fashion dolls! Take a look at V, SUGA, Jin, Jung Kook, RM, Jimin and j-hope as dolls inspired by the Idol music video!” The seven figurines feature facsimiles of BTS’ members dressed in colorful suits the men wore in their “IDOL” music video, released last August. The dolls are reportedly set to go on-sale in September. Along with the dolls, Mattel also has put out a tie-in version of its card game UNO. BTS topped the Billboard 200 albums chart on two occasions last year, and are set to hit up the U.S. and several other countries across the globe later this year with stadium-sized shows as part of their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour.
