L.A. REID, EPIC RECORDS EXEC, TO LEAVE LABEL

L.A. Reid is exiting Epic Records as chairman, writes Variety. Reid had been with Epic for six years, during which time he worked with Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, and Future.

Other musicians Reid helped throughout his decades-long career in the industry include OutKast, Goodie Mob, TLC, Usher, Kanye West, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey.

According to Variety, Epic President Sylvia Rhone may be under consideration for Reid’s spot in the interim, although nothing has been confirmed.
