A report claiming text messages between Kesha and Lady Gaga featured the "Praying" singer accusing producer Dr. Luke of raping Katy Perry. Dr. Luke fired back at the claims, denying them but now, Kesha's legal team says it was a record label CEO who originally made the claims, Variety reports.
In a statement from Kesha's team, they say the CEO of a major label was the one who told Kesha and Gaga that Dr. Luke allegedly raped Perry. "With respect to the recent story regarding Katy Perry, the statement that Dr. Luke assaulted her came from the CEO of a major record label, and was told by that executive at the same time to Kesha and Lady Gaga," the statement reads. Dr. Luker has continued to deny the allegations and even fired back at Kesha's team's latest statement, saying the unnamed CEO's statement about Dr. Luke raping Perry has been "fully contradicted by that executive" and that "he denied saying that." Perry hasn't spoken publicly about the claims, but Dr. Luke's team says that "Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her."
