 Goo Ha-ra, better known as Hara, just released a statement via representative this past Tuesday (May 28), after a suicide attempt at her home on Sunday (May 26).
“I’m truly sorry for causing concern due to the recent event. I am currently recovering my health. I was feeling distressed due to various incidents that piled up. I will try my best to show a healthy side of myself by having a stronger mindset. I am truly sorry about the recent incident,” she said. Hara was set to testify against former soccer player and ex Choi Jong Bum in a case involving abuse and blackmail. “[Goo Hara] is not in a position to appear at the trial. She’s currently recovering her health. If the next trial can be scheduled, she will attend. [She will be able to attend] after early July. The victim wants to make a statement. She said she wanted to do it herself,” her lawyer said. He previously denied all of the charges except destruction and damage of property in a previous trial. The next court date is set for July 25.
