Jay Z Secures New Long-Term Deal With Live Nation

Jay Z partnered with Live Nation in 2008 and formed a joint venture called Roc Nation, which has now become a management, publishing and recording empire. Since then J. Cole has become one of its biggest artists, in addition to a slew of big-name rappers and singers they currently managed.

With his own $150 million, 10-year 360 deal nearing the end, it looks like Mr. Carter is ready to make another run.

According to Billboard, Jay Z has secured a new deal with Live Nation and it’s not a 360 arrangement.

Jay and Live Nation will still continue their management and recording partnership (under Roc Nation), but the rap mogul will have equity in the company and in return they will cover his touring business.

“Live Nation has a new longterm deal with Jay Z and we expect to continue being equity partners in Roc Nation for many years to come,” a rep told Billboard.

Meanwhile, Jay Z has been making big moves in the television arena. Most recently, he partnered with the National Geographic channel (aka Nat Geo) to produce a docu-series on race relations in the United States.
