On Thursday (Aug. 3), Heffron Drive released the video for their new single ''One Way Ticket,'' a song that "is inspired by the feeling you get when the only place you want to be in the world is with the person next to you," the band's Kendall Schmidt tells Billboard. Watch the premiere of the new video below. Formed in 2008, Heffron Drive is an alternative pop band with Kendall Schmidt as lead singer (formerly of popular boy band Big Time Rush) and Dustin Belt on guitar. ''One Way Ticket'' is their first single off their new album. "The video you see was originally supposed to have more elements and story lines. But when we filmed what is now the video, we felt it matched perfectly with the punk rock vibe we were going for. So I made the decision right there to make that the video," says Schmidt. Heffron Drive has toured for more than three and a half years. The current tour began in Europe and will start in Latin America at the end of 2017 in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. "It's another evolution for a band that has been continually evolving since 2008. We are always attempting to push our musical limits and we are so proud of the result and we also plan to play select dates around the world for the rest of the year so make sure you keep your eyes out for a show near you," says Schmidt.
