It’s been 25 years since Brothers Zac, Isaac and Taylor Hanson took over the pop world as Hanson. And now, two decades after the release of their radio smash hit, 1997’s “Mmmbop,” the boys are back in town with a worldwide reunion tour. The “Middle of Everywhere” tour kicks off in Germany on June 17 and will take the brothers to cities around the world, with stops planned (middle of) everywhere from London to Paris to Austin to New York City and beyond, through the autumn. “Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than with an anniversary tour,” Taylor said in a press release. “This year is not only about the two decades of music, it’s about celebrating the incredible community of fans who have been with us, singing along year after year,” Isaac added. Often regarded as one of the 1990s’ most iconic one-hit-wonders, the boys—now men, actually, with families and kids of their own—have taken no breaks since their breakout 20 years ago, touring and releasing music through the years as well as launching a brand of beer fittingly called “Mmmhops.” This week, the band celebrated the announcement of the tour, along with Taylor’s 34th birthday, with a brand new song, “I Was Born,” on March 14. Check out tour dates on Hanson’s web site. Further dates are to be scheduled.
