Eminem recently tweeted out a teaser of his video for "River", which is a collaboration with Ed Sheeran that landed on 2017's Revival — with the caption “Unhappy Valentine’s Day!” revealing the visuals will be premiering on February 14.
The dramatic 30-second clip cuts between shots of a couple in a raging, screaming fight and confessional snippets of people being asked about love, including Marshall Mather and Ed Sheeran themselves. "What does love mean to you?" the cameraman asks Mathers as he sits in an empty room, fingers intertwined. After a long pause, he answers: "My personal life is not exactly a highlight reel." It then cuts to Sheeran, who bluntly states if you don't have the trust element in a relationship, you're f*cked. Back in December, Sheeran told Billboard that he recorded his parts in Russell Crowe's in-house studio after receiving an email about the track from Eminem's manager. Despite the rapper's tough exterior, Sheeran described him as “such a sweet, talented guy,” adding that the experience was “a door that I thought was closed and just opened randomly.”
