BTS just played in front of sold-out crowds at their first Japanese dome concerts at the Kyosera Dome Osaka this past weekend, titled 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR IN JAPAN SPECIAL EDITION.
A total of 80,000 fans gathered to see the seven-member K-pop group make one of their dreams come true at their highly anticipated shows Oct. 14 and 15. "Since we're seeing so many of you at such an enormous venue, we're more excited about this concert than usual!" said Rap Monster as they kicked off their set with the Japanese version of "Not Today," the explosive moombahton track from You Never Walk Alone. The members kept their devoted Osaka ARMY enraptured as they tore through a 22-song setlist filled with popular hits and each member's respective solo tracks from their previous album, Wings, which peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200. The adoring crowd burst into cheers when they performed "DNA," their first Hot 100 hit from their latest album, Love Yourself: Her, which became the first-ever top 10 album on the Billboard 200 by a Korean act. During the encore, the group gave the ARMY something to look forward to by announcing a new Japanese "triple-A" CD single to be released Dec. 6. The new release will feature Japanese versions of "DNA" and "MIC Drop" and a Japan-original winter song. Members were teary-eyed at the end and expressed their gratitude to their loyal fans for staying upbeat and supportive throughout their shows and making their first-ever dome performances a resounding success.
