BTS fans might not be able to catch boy band on the road this summer, but they can relive some of the group’s big performances in the forthcoming Break the Silence docuseries, for which the first trailer dropped Tuesday morning. The docuseries tracks BTS’s 2018 Love Yourself World Tour and its 2019 extension, the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour. The former saw BTS headline arenas around the globe, and they graduated to sold-out stadiums on the latter. The Love Yourself World Tour and Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour were career-defining endeavors for BTS that further cemented their status as not just the biggest Korean pop group of the moment, but one of the biggest pop artists in the world. Appropriately, the Break the Silence trailer promises plenty of spectacular live footage from the gigantic concerts; watching the band members simply gaze across the empty venues before showtime is a wonder to behold. But Break the Silence also teases footage of the band members goofing off backstage, sharing vulnerable moments with each other and marveling at their own stature. The upcoming Map of the Soul Tour was on track to match or surpass that success, with half of its North American stadium dates selling out during their first weekend on sale. BTS previously postponed the North American leg, which was set to kick off last Saturday; on Tuesday, the group’s management company, Big Hit Entertainment, announced that it would postpone the entire trek.
