The Korea Popular Music Awards held its first-ever event at the Korea International Exhibition Center on Thursday (Dec. 20). The three big awards of the night were given out to TWICE’s “Heart Shaker” (song of the year), BTS’s Love Yourself: Answer (album of the year) and Wanna One (artist of the year).
Wanna One additionally claimed three other awards (a popularity award, the Olleh TV best artist and a bonsang, or main prize), making them the top winning group of the night. BTS, TWICE and eight other artists also received such awards.
