After it became the "largest event cinematic release ever," fans will now be able to own BTS’ Love Yourself in Seoul film. Love Yourself in Seoul depicts last year’s performance by the septet at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on Aug. 26. The concert film was originally released in January as a special event in theaters, and grossed $11.7 million on its first day with 1.2 million admissions worldwide. Now, BTS' company Big Hit Entertainment announced today (Feb. 24) that the concert film will be released on March 27 on DVD, and made available on Blu-Ray on April 23. Pre-orders go on-sale on Feb. 28. Along with the concert, Love Yourself in Seoul will also give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what went into the performance, plus bonus footage, all with subtitles in Korean, English, and Chinese. Released as 3-disc package, the DVD and Blu-Ray variants will feature a variety of content, including photo cards and posters. Love Yourself in Seoul shows the group kicking off their ongoing world tour, which ties into their Love Yourself album series. Last year, May’s Love Yourself: Tear and August’s Love Yourself: Answer each topped the Billboard 200, the first time ever a Korean act had landed atop of the albums chart. BTS recently announced an extension of their world tour, and the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF’ will hit up multiple stadiums throughout the world, including multiple shows in the U.S. In the trailer video for the new release, footage from the concert and its production are shown, as is a clip of the members of BTS watching and reacting to their own concert performance.
