Blondie and Garbage Announce Co-Headlining ‘Rage and Rapture Tour’

Blondie and Garbage are teaming up for a co-headlining summer tour.

The package dates, currently scheduled to begin July 5 in Saratoga, Calif. and run through Aug. 12 in Dallas, find each band promoting new product. Garbage’s sixth studio LP, Strange Little Birds, arrived last summer; later this year, the group will be putting out an “autobiographical coffee table book,” This Is the Noise That Keeps Me Awake. Blondie, meanwhile, return with their Pollinator album May 5.

Support for the tour will come courtesy of X vets John Doe and Exene Cervenka, who are scheduled to stay on the bill through July 22, followed by Deap Vally, who pick up where Doe and Cervenka leave off and are scheduled to stay through the final date. Fans can take advantage of special pre-order sales in select markets through Ticketmaster by using the password RAGEANDRAPTURE.
