Alessia Cara dropped her new single 'Okay Okay'. “Okay Okay” is the third to be released, following “Rooting For You” and “Ready,” from the 23-year-old Grammy-winning singer’s upcoming EP This Summer, which she will be releasing on September 6th. “I put myself almost in a satirical place of what would I say if I thought I was the coolest thing on earth,” Alessia said about the song on the Zach Sang Show. “The song is super sarcastic, but also it’s my way of trying to convince myself that I’m really cool and the best. It’s definitely not a serious song, it’s a fun one. It’s probably the most light song I’ve ever made.” “Okay Okay” is also available to stream on Spotify and download on iTunes now. Peyton List has released the music video for her new song “Don’t Cry” featuring Cannon. In the video, Peyton features multiple looks and many different colors of hair. “This is just a creative side that I think I’ve shared with my family and friends, or time to time on Instagram, but it has always been there for me,” she told Billboard in a recent interview about the different looks. “I’ve had a mood board for the longest time that I’m constantly adding to of images I’ve been inspired by and wanting to make; this sort of over-the-top, colorful world that I daydream about that I would need an incredible team around me to create. I thought this couldn’t be a better time,” Peyton added. Watch 'Don't Cry' Below! Jake Miller just released his new track “Last Text“. “‘Last Text’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written and produced. It’s a very empowering song about finally letting go of something that you’ve been holding onto for too long,” Jake tells Billboard. “I love how it starts off very raw and folky with the acoustic guitar, but then switches up into a very anthemic feel. I can’t wait to play this one on tour.” You can download the track on all platforms!

Rapper Kodak Black has just pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges. Black entered the change of plea in Miami federal court Thursday, months after he had pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors in May charged the 22-year-old rapper for crimes including falsifying information on federal forms to purchase three firearms. Prosecutors say a weapon purchased by Black was found at the scene of a South Florida shooting. Authorities say he could face up to eight years in prison. A federal judge denied his request for bond saying he was a danger to the community based on his lengthy criminal record. Black has remained in a federal detention center in Miami since his arrest. The rapper also faces drug, weapons, and sexual assault charges in other states. Ever since it was revealed that Taylor Swift‘s master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun, the pop star has been very vocal about how displeased she is. Both sides have aired their dirty laundry online, and heads over at BigHit even jumped in. BUT even though the 29-year-old singer still owns the publishing rights to the music, some of the royalties for her old songs will now go to Scooter. If she re-records the songs and releases them through her new label, Taylor will seemingly get all of the royalties. (BUT legaly that will probably not be the case, and the move can still put money in Scooter's pockets.) In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which will air this weekend, Taylor was asked if she plans on making new recordings of the old songs so she regains control of the recordings. “Oh yeah,” Taylor responded. The interviewer then said, “That’s a plan?” and Taylor said, “Yeah, absolutely.” Page Six is reporting that there are terms in her contract with Big Machine that could prevent her from actually releasing new recordings though. Taylor‘s new album Lover drops on Friday. |
