A$AP Rocky's upcoming release has been a complete mystery. He hasn't really spoke too much about it on record, other than saying that it's on the way. He initially said the project would drop before the end of 2017 but clearly, that didn't happen. During a concert in Germany a few weeks back, he revealed that he finished it. As we play the waiting game for the project to drop, A$AP Rocky drops off a brand new single, presumably off the project, featuring rising Memphis star, Blocboy JB.
After dropping three low quality songs he referred to as "tests," A$AP Rocky drops off his new single, "Bad Company" featuring Blocboy JB. While Rocky's last few efforts have had darker tones to it, "Bad Company" is much more upbeat. The funky bassline and the flow from both rappers deliver some much needed jiggyness. As much as this song builds excitement surrounding Rocky's next project, Blocboy JB continues to prove that he has the potential to take his career to the next level. A$AP Rocky is the third major look he's received in 2018 following collaborations with Drake and 21 Savage. With the release of "Bad Company," hopefully we could expect Rocky's next album to drop soon. |
