98 Degrees announced that they're making a second Christmas album, a follow-up to their 1999 platinum holiday record This Christmas. Christmas is coming two months early for 98 Degrees fans, as Let It Snow arrives Oct. 13.
With the band celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album this year, the group's Nick Lachey said in a statement that it feels like the perfect time to revisit their Christmas record and create a Volume Two. His brother and bandmate, Drew, added that the group agrees that This Christmas is their favorite record -- but in the eyes of the band's Jeffrey Timmons, what really made them want to create another Christmas album is the fact that holiday tunes are loved by all. "We have primarily a female audience, but we'll have guys come up to us and say, 'You know what? I love the Christmas album; my mom bought it for me,'" Timmons said, adding with a laugh, "It's bro code that the Christmas album's allowed." The album will feature 12 new Christmas songs, including the title track, "What Christmas Means To Me," "Little Saint Nick" and "Run Rudolph Run." The full track listing, as well as the first song, will be released in the coming weeks. In the meantime, enjoy their classic Christmas original "This Gift". To coincide with their new Christmas compilation, 98 Degrees is heading out on a 31-date holiday tour, which kicks off in Larchwood, Iowa on Nov. 10 and concludes just two days before Christmas in Primm, Nevada.
