2NE1‘s final release as a group has finally arrived. (It’s January 21 in South Korea.) The stripped back, guitar-led track is a sad farewell to all the fans who supported the popular group throughout the years. The video has members sadly sitting admist flowers and candles and glimpse at grainy home footage of the group at their peak playing against the walls, ending off with a split-second glimpse of the trio (sans Minzy) lying in bed together before fading to black. “Goodbye” was co-produced by J Gramm (Travis Scott, DJ Mustard) and K. “Rook Monroe” Watkins, who also co-wrote Rihanna‘s ANTI anthem “Desperado” and Kid Ink’s “Nasty.” CL wrote the song “as an outlet for her feelings of regret about the end of 2NE1.”
